4 New Dwelling in the Countryside
The proposal compromises of four dwellings, with a mixture of 3 and 4 bed units, the overall Masterplan of the proposed site respects it’s context and location by creating a layout to reflect that of a Farmstead, whereby each dwelling is detached and dissipated around the site but are centered around a shared central courtyard. Along with the positioning of the new dwellings, the scale, massing, layout, architectural form vary to further enhance the style of a working farm.
The material choices for the development have been driven by the materials found within the immediate local context. A combination of modern and traditional materials have been selected to provide a contemporary twist on a traditional courtyard style farmstead and reflect the character and location of the site.
