As featured on Channel 4’s Extraordinary Extensions Season 2 Episode 4 and shortlisted for Best Brick Building 2023 at the Built It Awards.

Located in Broadstairs, this sensitivity designed contemporary extension to a domestic property provides a 180 degree panoramic sea views. The design reflects the iconic 1960’s style of the existing terrace. The new window apertures have been carefully considered to reflect the size and proportions of the existing terrace and modern materials such as fibre cement slate cladding and green glazed bricks give a modern twist on the retro style of the 1960’s terrace. A feature projecting corner bay window with window seat allows the client to take full advantage of the magnificent views the location has to offer.

The internal layout has been developed to provide a feeling of open plan living to the ground floor but has also been zoned to provide multifunctional areas such as a study and reading area, play zone and communal spaces that can be utilised by the whole family. There is also a separate utility area and gym to the ground floor.

The first floor contains 4 bedrooms, the main family bathroom, master bedroom with large walk-in wardrobe with private balcony, along with a small office space to provide a quiet area to allow our client to work from home when required.
