3 industrial units on the outskirts of Whitstable, Kent
The project involved the creation of three light industrial units in a sensitive area of land on the outskirts of Whitstable.
The buildings were designed to take the form of agricultural farm buildings, with low level brick plinths, black horizontal metal profiled cladding, grey metal standing seam pitched roofs and green aluminium doors and windows.
The landscaping around the units was carefully considered, with the inclusion of ample parking and the screened grassed earth mounds to help hide the buildings in their semi-rural environment, as well as the use of a large mix of native species.
